ah yes those peskie zombies...you gotta keep your eye on them.

But this is the beauty of the Coast to Coast show, guests range from absolute geniuses to absolute crackpots, just as the topics can range from the utterly fascinating to the incredibly silly.

I download these shows on to my ipod and take them to work. I put the shows over the speakers for everyone to hear. At first my co-workers were kind of like WTF? What is this stuff? After listening to a couple of shows though (and many interesting debates erupting at work over the topics discussed) now they keep pestering me for more shows. Its an awesome show, very addictive.

If you download a show just be aware that each file is broken into 4 mp3's. Each mp3 is 1 hour because each show is 4 hours. Usually (not always) the advertised show will be on the second hour. Just have a play around and you will see.

Stem Cell Treatments

Appearing for all four hours, author Christian Wilde discussed the latest in heart disease prevention, heart health and the advances being made in adult stem cell research. He noted that doctors often fail to spot heart disease risk factors among patients, including sleep apnea and gum disease. Additionally, women's heart disease (500,000 women die per year from it) often gets overlooked, he reported.

Joining the discussion in the second hour was Dr. Warren Sherman, who performed the first stem cell procedure for heart failure on a US patient. Cells from the patient's leg muscles were implanted into the heart muscle to help reverse damage. Through this kind of treatment, patients have shown significant improvements, and a new study is underway. Sherman was involved in a recent international conference on stem cell therapy for cardiovascular diseases.

In third hour, neuroscientist Dr. Michel Levesque spoke about stem cell treatments for neurological disorders such as Parkinson's. He described a case in which he extracted stem cells from a patient's brain, grew them in test tubes into mature neurons, and then transplanted them back to the patient, who has shown marked improvement since the procedure.

Also appearing during the show, stem cell patient Michael Dunkirk (first hour) described a successful procedure he had done in Bangkok for his ailing heart. And Laura Dominguez (third hour), who was injured in an accident, told of positive results from stem cell treatments with a Dr. Lima in Portugal. Wilde said he is making available up-to-date information on stem cell trials and experiments in his quarterly newsletter.

Mind-Over-Matter Experiments

Researcher Lynne McTaggart returned to report on the on-going results of global mind-over-matter experiments (theintentionexperiment.com) that she has sponsored. Because of the way subatomic structures function, the world is not as fixed or final as it might seem, and living things are subject to influence from the power of thoughts, she explained.

Successful experiments have been conducted both with in-person groups and over the Internet. In one intention experiment, a group of people were asked to send thoughts for a barley seed to grow faster, and the results showed the seed sprouted and grew faster than control seeds. The experiment was repeated in New York with a group of healers and yielded even more dramatic results, she said. This led McTaggart to conclude that experience mattered more than the quantity of participants, with the degree of mental focus being an important factor.

Interestingly, she suggested that negative intention, such as using thought to destroy microorganisms, can work just as powerfully as positive intention. Elite athletes often practice a kind of intention with "mental rehearsals" -- according to research, this may be an effective form of training because the brain doesn't distinguish between action and thought, she detailed. Upcoming experiments (the next one will be on March 29th) are planned to make polluted water cleaner, and to reduce crime in a specific area, she noted.

UFOs, Remote Viewing & the J** Assassination

Author and researcher Jim Marrs joined George Knapp (email) for a discussion on such topics as UFOs, remote viewing, and the J** assassination. Marrs cited an interesting occurrence that predated the recent UFO controversy in Stephenville, TX-- the same small town had a publicized sighting all the way back in 1897-- when a large silver cigar-shaped object was spotted in the skies.

The J** assassination and UFO secrecy share certain similarities-- they are both government conspiracies involving fabrication, and the destruction & alteration of evidence and testimony, he stated. Further, he noted that just before the assassination, Kennedy had issued an order for UFO files to be turned over to the CIA-- and this never took place after his death.

Marrs revealed findings of the government's secret remote viewing program. For instance, in targeting the failed missions of the Mars Observer and Phobos II, viewers described a disc-shaped object rising off the surface of Mars and scanning the craft as they entered Mars' orbit. Inadvertently, the scanning beams caused the crafts' computers to be scrambled and control was lost. He added that Soviet pilot Marina Popovich's photo matched the remote viewed description. Marrs also mentioned that he participates in a special forum hosted by Above Top Secret.

Solomon, Knights Templar & White Gold

Historian Laurence Gardner traced the connections between King Solomon & his Temple, the Knights Templar, the Ark of the Covenant, Free Masonry, and White Powder Gold. Solomon, who lived around 1,000 BC, built the first temple of Jerusalem, set an example for 'kingship,' and was thought to have stocked his temple with treasures. The Temple changed hands over the years, and eventually became an Islamic mosque, Gardner noted.

The Knights Templar, a kind of ambassadorial military unit, conducted excavations at the Temple during the first Crusades. When they returned to Europe in 1128, they became a powerful knightly order, made wealthy by the treasures they had brought back from Jerusalem, he detailed.

The Ark of the Covenant, according to the Bible, was used as a kind of high-tech weapon during wars. The magical White Powder Gold or manna along with the Ark, suggest the ancient Hebrews had an advanced science. It was the knowledge of these ancient secrets that the Free Masons once had but lost, back in the 1700s, Gardner explained. Research on White Powder Gold and monoatomic elements begun in the 1980's, has revealed a number of unusual properties such as levitation, and possible applications in medicine

UFOs & Govt. Documents

John Greenewald of the Black Vault discussed UFOs and government documentation & disclosure. Through his Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, he has created the world's largest online database of US government documents. When filing such inquiries the trick is to be neither too specific or too broad in the requests, he said, adding that one request took nine years to get a response. The US govt., he noted, has millions of documents, and often doesn't even know what it has.

In the recent Stephenville case, he filed a request to get the tower logs for every air base in the area (he typically asks for this type of information rather than directly mentioning UFOs). Though he has yet to receive a response, 48 hours after filing the request, the military issued their switched story about having jets in the area.

Greenewald said he received a stack of 100 pages from the Canadian government about UFOs which included reports of light balls, discs, and other aerial objects, up through the year 2003. The documents indicated that both commercial and Air Force pilots should report UFO activity to NORAD. This was also confirmed in a US Air Force manual, yet NORAD continues to claim that it stopped collecting UFO reports in 1965, he said. One of the newer features to the Black Vault is a user-contributed encyclopedia covering ufology and related issues.

In the latter portion of the interview, Greenewald offered reactions to callers accounts of UFO sightings.

Light Beings

Investigative mythologist William Henry discussed his latest work on Light Beings-- which he described as ancient enlightened ones who came to Earth and left a spark of themselves inside us. The Light Body is the name given to our hidden spiritual body and is referenced in many sacred traditions, he explained. The Mayans prophesized that enlightened beings would emerge from a serpent rope (possibly a stargate or wormhole) from the center of our galaxy in 2012, and Egyptian traditions also speak of beings of light, he noted.

Henry's investigation in Abydos, Egypt uncovered depictions of the 'Osiris Device,' which he described as a kind of a energy tower that could also serve as a teleporter for light beings.

Upcoming experiments at CERN with the Large Hadron Collider seek to recreate the conditions just after the Big Bang. Is humankind on the verge of discovering the primordial secrets of God-- seeing the light of first creation?, Henry pondered. Ultimately, humans have the ability to transform themselves through consciousness into light beings, he asserted.

Southern Ghost Hunting

Founder and director of the Georgia Ghost Society, Bob Hunnicutt joined the program to discuss his 18 years of research into haunted Southern residences, businesses and historical landmarks. Despite the area’s rich history, he said, the South’s many haunted locations have been, until recently, overlooked and that Southern ghost hunting groups are "breaking new ground everyday."

He detailed some of the means and methods of his investigations, describing the process of ghost hunting to be "like going fishing." Hunnicutt estimated that his group gets around 500 investigation requests per year. Along with rigorous background testing, he expressed the need to stay all night on a ghost hunt saying "there’s no way you can go into a location for just a few hours and hope to get anything."

Hunnicutt also presented four EVPs that were recorded during one of his group’s investigations. The spirit alleged to dwell in the house had been communicating with a young child on a cordless phone and the EVPs were captured on the family’s answering machine. While the chilling voices in the recordings resembled that of a child, Hunnicutt warned that "just because it sounds like a child, doesn’t mean that’s what you are dealing with."

Texas UFO Reports

Broadcasting live from the KVI studios in Seattle, George talked with investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe, who provided an update on the recent high strangeness occurring in the skies above Texas.

Linda spoke with Constable Lee Roy Gaitan about his investigation of the Dublin UFO sightings. According to Gaitan, several witnesses, including him and his wife, saw multi-colored spinning aerial objects flying around the Dublin area on February 9 and 10, 2008. Linda presented her interview with Steve Allen, Owner of L & S Enterprises and Texas Freight. Allen claims to have witnessed several bright white lights flying a few thousand feet above ground level toward Stephenville on January 8, 2008. He said the lights formed a rectangular pattern and reconfigured themselves as he watched. Linda talked with Angelia Joiner, former full-time reporter at the Stephenville Empire-Tribune, who resigned from (and then was asked to leave) the newspaper after filing a series of reports on the UFO activity in Stephenville. Black Ops Patches and Torture Taxis

Artist, writer, and experimental geographer Trevor Paglen joined host George Knapp (email) to discuss his research into black ops programs and CIA-sponsored “Torture Taxis.”

He noted the symbology of patches used by military black ops programs and the information he has deciphered from his vast collection of hard to find pieces. Calling the patches "glimpses into the black world," Paglen revealed that many of them serve as "inside jokes" used by members of the secret programs. To this point, he cited the use of the invisible-at-will cartoon character Pete’s Dragon on patches used by early Stealth pilots. Other interesting symbols included "five stars in one" to signify an Area 51 program and an alien head for space-based operations.

Turning towards his other areas of research, Paglen talked about his investigation into CIA operated extraordinary rendition programs. He said that Guantanamo Bay is just "the visible part of this much broader network" and detailed the means by which the CIA conducts these programs. He also covered his travels to Afghanistan to find purported secret prisons like the "Salt Pit" and the "Dark Prison," a facility described as pitch black with blaring music and Halloween noises playing constantly.

The Human Brain
Neuroscientist Dr. Sam Wang discussed the human brain and how it's wired to experience various phenomena. Made of 3 lbs. of tissue with 100 billion neurons, the brain acts as an information processing device and filter. The truth is, we use all parts of our brain, not just 10% of it (a myth propagated by Dale Carnegie), he noted.

There is evidence that some types of criminals have had brain injuries to their prefrontal cortex which regulates self-control, he reported. Scans have also revealed brain differences between professional and amateur musicians-- the amateurs show more generalized activity in the brain, while professionals exhibit smaller, more localized areas of focus.

Near-death experiences might be related to a lack of oxygen in the brain, he suggested, noting that mountaineers often describe unusual sensations at high altitudes, such as seeing light coming out of their body and 'sensing a presence.' There is not strong evidence that supplements such as gingko are effective in improving brain function and memory, he said. But 'healthy heart' activities such as exercise and moderate wine consumption are also good for the brain, he added.

RFID & Chip Implants

Consumer privacy advocate Katherine Albrecht presented an update on RFID and chip implants. Around 300 people have voluntarily had an RFID chip implanted in them, but they could be at an increased risk for cancer, she said. Studies of animals who've been chipped show that up to 10% of them come down with tumors at the site of the implant. Microchipping of pets preys on owners love for their animals, she commented. A plan is also in the works to chip all farm animals, Albrecht added.

She expressed concerns about Border Crossing IDs issued in various states which can be read as far as 20 feet away. Information could possibly be gleaned these cards by electronic readers not associated with the government. Companies such as Checkpoint Systems and Sensormatic Electronics plan to offer RFID tags hidden in clothing and shoes, but legislation is under consideration that would force stores to disclose that the tags were there, said Albrecht.

She also talked about the biblical connections to the issue, noting that for the first time technology is now in place to create the 'mark of the beast.' A small minority of citizens can bring about change, Albrecht pointed out, and she offered a list of ways people can protest or get involved.

Noah's Ark & Creationism

Author and researcher Walt Brown discussed Noah's Ark, the Great Flood and the debate between creationism and evolution. The Ark might be found surrounded by permanent icecap at 14,000 ft. elevation. Mount Ararat in Turkey or the Zagros Mountains in Iran are possible locations, he said. Over the years, a number of people have claimed to see the relic. One of them was George Hagopian, who said as a young boy he was taken to Mount Ararat and shown the Ark, which he described as a big barge (drawings & paintings were subsequently made from his descriptions).

Brown noted that across civilizations there are some 230 legends/accounts of a great flood. Rain from clouds could not have created such a deluge, he commented. He proposed his hydroplate theory which suggests that crustal plates rose up out of the water-- causing continents to rise and massive flooding to occur.

Arguing that Earth was created by God just 6,000 to 10,000 years ago, Brown said that radio carbon dating doesn't take into account changes that occurred during the flood. He said there is evidence that man and dinosaurs co-existed, and that the universe itself was created at the same time as Earth. The universe's vast distances were brought about by God "stretching them out" at the time of creation, he added.

World at Break Point

Author Steve Quayle discussed flash points of increasing tension around the world, including military unrest, financial meltdowns, and UFO activity. A recent fireball in the Pacific Northwest wasn't actually a meteor-- it was a UFO being shot down by a black budget US military unit using exotic new weaponry, he reported. There's an ongoing battle between the military and ET craft, and the US has developed secret spacecraft such as the huge triangular TR3-B, he claimed.

Quayle warned that Russia was returning to its Cold War stance with the US, and China, Iran and Pakistan were also concerns. On the economic front, there is too much debt. Six million Americans will lose their homes, the dollar will fall even lower and the middle class will be wiped out, as part of a plan by the Global Elite, he suggested. Neo-Darwinism & Academic Freedom

Film Producer of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (view movie trailers), Mark Mathis discussed his research into how the academic world treats university scientists, professors, and researchers who question the theory of neo-Darwinism.

According to Mathis, there has been a systematic exclusion of any origin theory which proposes the idea that there is design in the universe that may be better explained by an intelligence source, rather than from random processes. As an example, he talked about the recent controversy involving Guillermo Gonzalez, astronomer and author of The Privileged Planet. Mathis said Gonzalez, the author of 68 peer-reviewed papers, was denied tenure at Iowa State University because of his views on intelligent design.

Mathis cited other cases of academic discrimination, including one involving Baylor University's Robert Marks, who was told to shut down a website he created which challenged Darwinian evolution. Mathis also discussed Richard Sternberg, who came under fire for publishing a paper by intelligent design advocate Stephen Meyer in Proceedings of the Biological Society of Washington.

Pre-Death Encounters

Known for his compassionate care of hundreds of terminally-ill patients, Dr. John Lerma presented his research into hospice patients' pre-death experiences. Such patients shared similarities in their experiences, typically seeing a "light entity" or human-appearing spirit being about four weeks before their passing. Subsequently, the being appears to them with increasing frequency, preparing them for their death, and reviewing life lessons, he recounted.

A PET scan of a patient undergoing a brief "hallucinatory" episode showed that many different areas of their brain were lit up, Lerma reported. He told of working with Matthew, a blind nine-year-old with a terminal illness. Matthew described communing with three different angels who were so tall, it was as though they were from another dimension.

One of Dr. Lerma's patients was a man who was a friend of rancher Mac Brazel of Roswell fame. In a sort of deathbed confession to Lerma, he said Brazel showed him the crash debris in 1947 and in it, he saw a swastika, which suggested that one of the crashed discs was designed by German scientists, imported to the US after the war. The scientists had supposedly picked up the technology from ETs, and used it earlier to build 'foo fighters.' Lerma also described attempting to surgically remove an 'alien implant' from Whitley Strieber's ear. The object moved away from the tweezers, and was difficult to extract in its entirety. A part that was removed was studied by pathologists and determined to be a non-natural cellulose structure.

San Augustin UFO Crash

UFO Historian Art Campbell shared details about a UFO crash on the Plains of San Augustin, New Mexico which reportedly occurred the same time as the Roswell Incident in July 1947. Both episodes were likely due to the same air collision, he said, noting that San Augustin is 165 miles west of Roswell. The discoverer of the crashed object in San Augustin was an engineer named Barney Barnett-- while at the site, he ran into an archeological team that later denied they were there, Campbell recounted.

Barnett described seeing a disc-shaped craft that was 25-30 ft. in diameter, which was split on the side. Dislodged from the vehicle, were 3-4 bodies. In what was perhaps the first description of the "greys," he described seeing hairless 3½-4 ft. beings in gray jumpsuits with oddly set eyes. Barnett thought initially they might be connected with the atomic energy field before realizing they were "not of this Earth."

While Campbell was investigating the site beginning in 1994, he collected some interesting evidence, including a biomorphic object he dubbed the artifact which he was told was made out of high-density polyethylene. He also found curious tiny shoe soles which might have been worn by the ETs.

Dire Web Bot Predictions

George Ure and his colleague 'Cliff' shared their web bot predictions about America and global events. Their method captures changes in language patterns within Internet discussions. This aggregated data is then processed with software to determine various keywords, which they interpret in a predictive fashion. Emotional events from the future can subconsciously imprint into the present and trickle into language, Cliff further explained.

Here are some of their predictions for the remainder of 2008 (and beyond):

# In late March, look for massive employment to take hold.
# During the summer, a backlash against the US government could involve a call to hold the elections early.
# As the housing industry continues its collapse, there could be a seizure or lock-up of the ability to transfer property.
# A "fuzzy revolution" could involve squatters or collectives moving into empty or foreclosed homes.
# In October, there'll be a major stock market crash or a climate event that has a disastrous effect on the economy.
# There could be a major bank failure, possibly involving a foreign bailout that is reneged upon.
# A "global coastal event" within the next five years will involve a rise in sea levels that will knock out oil refineries.
# There will be an untimely demise for millions by 2012, brought upon by some combination of pandemics, economic collapse, breakdown of health care and unknown energies from space.

OBEs: The Benefits of Astral Travel

Speaker and author William Buhlman discussed the latest research on out-of-body experiences (OBEs). During these experiences a person moves into an astral realm-- a dimension of existence apart from the physical world. There are many benefits that can be gained during OBEs. You become an explorer who can ascertain direct knowledge about one's existence rather than just adhering to a belief system, he explained.

During sleep, people actual separate from their bodies, if only a few inches, Buhlman pointed out, adding that one purpose of sleep may be to recharge the body by accessing the etheric plane. He shared a technique for inducing OBEs: Get up after about 4 hours of sleep, and lie down on a couch instead of your bed. Then, repeat the affirmation "now I'm out of my body" and hold onto that thought.

People have reported having communications with deceased loved ones and family pets during astral travels. But, the natural evolution in an OBE is to slowly lose human form and become a globe of consciousness with 360 degree views, he revealed.
