I dont know if you guys heard about the recent mass-shooting in Finland. Well the young nut-case that went on a shooting spree had an obsession with the industrial masters Wumpscut. His youtube videos were accompanied by Wumpscut songs and apparently police found an entire collection of Wumpscut albums in his room. In Finland, Wumpscut have copped a lot of slack in the media in the last week.

They say he had an entire collection of Wumpscut albums, I'm willing to bet he didn't have the following;

Wumpscut - Defcon

Wumpscut's earliest work was originally produced as a cassette only release. Defcon appeared in two different editions, with two completely different tracklists. Most of the songs that originally appeared on this release were released later on the Wumpscut compilations, The Mesner Tracks, Preferential Legacy, Blutkind, and Preferential Tribe. Both editions of this tape were extremely limited to 50 copies.

Side One

"The Hellion" – 4:00
"Phase Shifter" – 3:42
"Throbberstalk" – 4:18
"Ceremony" – 4:00
"Lindbergh" – 2:41

Side Two

"War Combattery" – 4:10
"Batavion" – 3:24
"Pornography" – 4:24
"Default" – 5:19

Genre: Industrial

Download:

no password

There are many later Wumpscut albums that are totally excellent but as I am only posting here industrial releases that are very rare and/or out of print I will not post them here. The point of this thread in to introduce you to some very unusual and rare music (I really dont want to rip off any of these artists as this music deserves to be supported.)

but personally if I was going to be a crazed psycho I wouldn't listen to Wumpscut, just not dark enough in my opinion. This is who I would listen to;

Mörder Machine - DeathShow

Imagine, if you will, what makes a man kill another human, not for survival but for the unadulterated sadistic rush of adrenaline. What goes through his mind as he prepares himself for the kill and how does he justify it to himself afterwards? What makes him tick? What draws him to do this? What are his thoughts prior, during and after the kill? Now imagine a glimpse into that mind has been set to music. Welcome to "DeathShow", one of the most powerful and painfully dark death industrial releases i've had the pleasure/displeasure to experience.

An incredible release that will push you as far as you can go, then push you that final bit further. You can't get any darker and more evil than this.

The original release was limited to 20 copies and each copy came with a cloth smeared with blood...real human blood. The album was banned in Italy and questions were asked regarding the human blood and where it came from. The man behind Morder Machine is the same man behind a similar act called Atrax Morgue (I will post a release of theirs next). His name is Marco Corbelli and it turns out he had once worked in a morgue (many people believe the blood came from his place of work). He wasnt answering any questions though, instead he committed suicide by hanging.

So here it is...the infamous recording 'Deathshow'.

Tracklisting:

1 I'm So (5:56)
2 What's A Human (7:35)
3 Andei-Ice (6:48)
4 I'm So (Reprise) (4:47)
5 DeathShow (9:59)
6 Terrortory (5:41)
7 Music For Dead Brains (12:39)

Its actually very hard to give you an example of Atrax Morgue because;
A: the covers are just too horrible to post here and...
B: the names of the songs are absolutely disgusting

So I have looked carefully and have found one 'safe' release.

Atrax Morgue - Catch My Agony

Limited to 100 copies. The original came in a box inside of which was a set rat trap.

Tracklist:
A The Order Of Death
B Confession

Time for a change of beat. So far all of the stuff posted here has been very ambient, lets pick up the tempo a bit and even get a little dancie.

FÏX8:SËD8 - Humanophobia

Humanophobia is a dark electro album full of freaky samples and equally as eerie music. They sight the influences influences with projects like Velvet Acid Christ and Skinny Puppy, but they comes off as more than just a clone. While the sound they emulates on Humanophobia is darkly reminiscent of those aforementioned bands, their overall sound is sometimes more complex and some of the tracks have more of a danceable edge.

This is typical industrial without being predictable. Here is a sample;

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=rPVENg3UdO0

One thing you may have noticed is that I stated previously that I would only post very rare or out of print releases here as I do not want to hurt the artists. Well this release is available commercially but the reason why I include it is because its a self-release and it really deserves a wider audience. If you download it and you like it, please consider buying the album and supporting the artist.

just gave the above album a good listen again and I must say that it really is something of an industrial classic. Have been playing it all day. Catchy tunes, dark feel, industrial soundscapes, what could be better?

The front and back covers are difficult for me to look at. I was in Cambodia very recently and visited the infamous S-21. From 1975-1979 roughly 20,000 Cambodians were executed by the Khmer Rouge at S-21 Prison in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Only four prisoners survived. S-21 is now the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide.

On the walls of this terrible place you will find thousands of photos of faces that stare back at you with a range of emotions. These photographs were taken by the Khmer Rouge themselves. The prisoners were questioned, photographed and executed, all with a horrible bureaucratic efficiency. Men, women and children, it didn't matter, all were enemies of the state and treated the same.

These photographs depict people just seconds away from execution and when you see them stuck up on the walls of this place where all of this horror took place, it really gets to you. I know I was really affected (heck I was on the verge of bursting into tears to be honest) and had to quickly get out of the place... so I made a quick offering to Papa Legba and got the hell out.

These faces are unforgettable. I can hardly look at them now.

You can find out more about these photographs here;

Keep it up mate - I love something different.

I use these tracks as background music while gaming and working in the shed, and some of them seem to relax, others I struggle to play twice.

Getting bloody hooked on Lustmord though, one listen was all that was needed.

glad to hear it mate. Its unusual music but once you 'gets in' it becomes quite addictive. I also use it as background music and I find it very conductive for writing etc.

Awesome that you like Lustmord, I'm a huge Lustmord fan. Let me give you some more;

Lustmord - The Monstrous Soul

From the insert:

"Before me lay the night. I tried to recognise something within the darkness, this infinite darkness but my eyes kept looking for something they could hold on to, some shade, a play of colors or anything which wasn't part of this gigantic maw. Yet there was nothing. It pulled me in in a strangely soothing way, promising something, maybe peace, maybe freedom, but whatever it was, I knew would never be fulfilled, nevertheless I gave in to my weakness. I was gone. After looking at myself from the outside for a moment, I wasn't there anymore. Neither was anything else. Something remained, a vibrating, pulsating eclipse which contained everything, ever, just not in any form for me to ever percieve the details, its nuances, which made it and everything it contained what it was. Time was no more, room was no more, the endless chain of causality had been broken, or rather, transformed into something else.
I had abandoned myself."

Music like a black hole, sucking in everything around it.

Tracklist:
01 - Ixaxaar
02 - Primordial Atom
03 - Protoplasmic Reversion
04 - The Daathian Doorway
05 - The Fourth And Final Key

and another rarer work:

Lustmord - Paradise Disowned

Various subterranean location recordings made from 1983-84, with additional studio manipulation and enhancement with John Murphy (The Associates, SPK etc.). Great use of the Tibetan Buddhist funeral horn gives this album a distinct quality. Probably not everyones cup of tea but I go nuts over this stuff.

Tracklist
Beckoning (4:15)
Uterance (6:03)
Dreams of Dead Names (2:51)
Pyre (Necro Cristi) (6:05)
Purge (Banashing) (3:57)
Terror Against Terror (5:10)
COMAHON Q.Q. COMAHON (6:26)
735 (4:13)
Pure (7:18)

MP3 | 320VBR (really good quality)

lets expand this whole journey into darkness theme a little.

In the early 1980's post punk era there emerged a dark, emotive, coldwave movement which was very influential to early industrial but which remains fairly undiscovered today. So let me just give a few examples of this style.

L'Avis G821 - Die Kaisergruft K7

This is a classic example of post-punk coldwave. Very atmospheric and really quite beautiful in a different way. This was a very limited release with only 70 copies ever made. This was a cassette only release but at 320kbps the quality of the sound in this download is first class.

Tracklist:
1) Kalt
2) M.S.N.
3) Murs Murs
4) b tn' flai
5) What
6) Murmures
7) Die Kaisergruft (bonus reprise)

Download:
http://rapidshare.com/files/12360600...gruft_1989.rar

French coldwave was particularly interesting because it was very revolutionary and ultimately quite self-destructive. Heroin wiped out many of these obscure bands. Here is an example of one such band; Les Enfants De L'Ombre were a French coldwave act that self-destructed on heroin. This drug was terribly popular in the early 80's punk and post-punk movements.

This is an excellent release and its a real shame these guys didn't release more. Very rare limited edition.

Les Enfants De L'Ombre - La Haine Rode Et Nous Guette

Tracklist:
01- L'Obsédé
02- La Douleur
03- La Haine
04- L'Agonie
05- Thème
