Astronomy & the Vatican Observatory

Astronomer and Curator of Meteorites at the Vatican Observatory, Brother Guy Consolmagno gave an update on discoveries in space, and spoke about the intersection of science and religion. The Vatican has observatories at two sites, one in the small Italian town of Lazio (the Pope's summer residence) and the other on a mountaintop in southeastern Arizona. 24 years ago, in his research of "Centaurs"-- half comets/half asteroids, he observed an anomalous cloud of light next to a centaur beyond Neptune-- such clouds usually surround the object's nucleus rather than appear adjacent to it, he explained.

He cited evidence for the migration theory of planets-- suggesting that in the early days of our solar system, Uranus and Neptune moved further out while Jupiter swept closer in from their original positions. In his study of meteorites, he detailed one specimen that curiously had iron that appeared molten right next to rock that looked like it had never been hot.

Regarding, the "Wormwood" mentioned in the Book of Revelation, Consolmagno doesn't interpret the writing as being a prediction of something to come, but rather a folkloric way of giving strength to people who were facing persecution at the time. He also stated that the notion of a "Planet X" periodically coming into the inner solar system doesn't ring true to him.

The Influence of Randomness

Appearing in the middle two hours, physicist and writer Leonard Mlodinow spoke about his recent studies on randomness, and the influence it has in our daily lives. The title of his new book, The Drunkard's Walk, refers to the idea that we often end up getting to places through a meandering pathway.

Randomness takes the form of unplanned or unpredictable events, which can end up greatly affecting a person's choices and outcomes, he explained. Even though someone might have certain abilities, due to circumstances beyond their control, there is a certain amount of variation in how things turn out, he added.

He cited some instances in baseball, such as the year when Roger Maris hit 61 homeruns, even though his average was 45, as an example of random variation. George shared an incident when he had a life-saving intuition while driving, and Mlodinow suggested that when people have certain intuitions they may be responding to subconscious physical cues.

The last hour featured Open Lines with callers sharing incidents of when they had prominent intuitions.

Un-Natural Disasters & Giants

Author and expert in survivalism Steve Quayle discussed how disasters such as the Chinese quake, the Myanmar cyclone, and the tornadoes in the U.S. have been coming fast and furious. He suggested that some of these events could be caused by weather warfare brought about by the Illuminati, who seek to reduce the population. For instance, the recent volcanic eruption in Chile was generated through a tremendous amount of energy, similar to what scalar and electromagnetic weaponry could produce, he noted.

Such natural or man-made devastations can lead to food and water shortages, Quayle pointed out. He stressed the need for people to be prepared with water storage & purification devices, and medical & food supplies. He also advised against living along the coastline.

Quayle updated his research into giants, reporting that a search was being conducted in an underground island labyrinth. According to his "Special Forces" contacts, there are literally tens of thousands of giants living in suspended animation in hives. They wear copper bands with "Paleo-Hebrew" writing on them, and become reanimated when the bands are removed, he detailed.

Trilogy Hotline

During Open Lines, George offered a different special topic line each hour. A former Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy phoned into the 'Bug Stories' line to share a story about his encounter with an alien that looked like a giant praying mantis. According to the caller, the creature was egg shell white with black eyes and stood 12 to 15 feet tall.

Ray from Yucca Valley, California recounted his 'Scariest Moment.' While hiking in Alancha canyon, Ray claims to have stumbled upon a scorpion the size of a small lobster -- more than 8 inches wide and longer than 11 inches with the tail curled over. The scorpion's body was a translucent milky white color with fluorescent green insides, he said. According to Ray, this scorpion was part of a breed that had been mutated from the Nevada nuclear weapons testing of the '50s and '60s.

A caller to the 'Most Embarrassing Moment' line said when she was growing up she would often date her mother's boyfriends. The caller said she was impregnated by one of the boyfriends, who later turned out to be her own father. Some other interesting calls were about creatures from another dimension who eat Bigfoot, the Grim Reaper, and a doppelganger cat. Paul in Salt Lake City, who called back in 2/8/08, told George that he is still being tormented by the spirit of the late Carlos Castaneda.

In the last half-hour, George played audio from his 3/16/04 interview with astronauts Mike Foale and Alexander Kaleri, who were aboard the International Space Station during the discussion.

D.B. Cooper Update

In the first half hour, attorney Galen Cook provided an update to his continuing investigation of the D.B. Cooper case. During his 3/29/08 appearance, Cook commented on the discovery of a parachute found buried in a field about 100 miles south of Seattle. Cook has since spoken with the man who originally packed Cooper's parachute and he determined that it was not one used by the infamous hijacker. Cook also announced that he will be breaking a story about his Cooper suspect in a small Oregon newspaper on May 28th.

Mad Cow Disease in America

George Knapp (email) was joined by former cattle rancher turned vegetarian and food safety activist, Howard Lyman. People don't have a clue about the seriousness of Mad Cow Disease (called CJD in humans), and as many as 450,000 Americans may have the illness which can take anywhere from 10 to 60 years to incubate, said Lyman.

The disease is thought to be spread via animal feed which contains ground-up animal parts. A 4 oz. burger, Lyman estimated, may have many as 500 to 1,000 different animals in it. Problematically, America only tests 1/10th of 1% of cows for the illness, and typically, older cows that would be more likely to have the disease aren't tested, he reported.

Lyman, who declared, "I don't eat anything with a face, a liver or a mother," offered these recommendations:
Don't consume wild animals such as deer and squirrels.
If you eat beef, make sure it's organic and naturally raised.
Avoid eating chicken-- the poultry is filled with hormones, chemicals and antibiotics and fed manure.
Shop at farmers' markets and grow your own vegetables.
If you purchase dairy, make sure it's organic.

Angelic Communications

Angel communicator Ann Albers discussed mystical dimensions, evolved spiritual beings, and demonic entities. Angels are like the nerve signals of the universe, and can be thought of as frequency beings, she said. Demons, in contrast, are disconnected from the field, and consciously and maliciously seek to foster negative emotions. A good way to disengage from demons is to not indulge or react to them, so they have nothing to feed on, she explained.

Albers said she is able to send her consciousness into other dimensions, which are spheres of awareness. The frequency of the angelic realm is like a beautiful symphony, with a swirling mass of color, she detailed, adding that she regularly receives guidance from a variety of angelic presences.

The angels convey that humans have access to the same information or source that they do, and must learn to put as much trust in themselves as they do in them, she shared. Intention is important in developing the ability to communicate with angels, as well as the belief that it's a natural thing to do, Albers noted.

Flex Fuel Mandate

Appearing during the middle two hours, aerospace engineer Robert Zubrin shared his strategy for reducing dependence on foreign oil. If the oil cartels' profits continue at the current rate, they will eventually be worth more than the entire Fortune 500, and have increased power to suppress oil alternatives, he warned.

Zubrin is backing a mandate to produce cars that run on flex fuel (accepting a mix of gasoline and alcohol fuels such as methanol or ethanol). This feature adds only $100 on to the price of a car, making it a more practical alternative than plug-in hybrids, which tend to be expensive, he said.

He suggested that people call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard (202-224-3121) and ask to speak with their local legislative aides to let them know they are in favor of the flex-fuel mandate bill being considered by the Congress and Senate. Zubrin also recommended Set America Free, an organization devoted to cutting oil dependence.

Ghosts & the Spirit World

Celebrated medium James Van Praagh returned for a discussion on his encounters with ghosts and the spirit world, as well as his psychic intuitions. Everyone is mediumistic to some extent and can channel energy from the spiritual dimension or their higher self, he declared. When a person dies, their connection with the "silver cord" is severed and their consciousness becomes expanded, he added.

Van Praagh said that he's seen dark energies in bars and clubs. Sometimes earthbound spirits can linger in such places, exerting influence on patrons to do drugs and alcohol so they can vicariously experience the sensation, he explained. Many Hollywood studios are haunted, and he detailed an occasion where he saw the ghost of Lucille Ball have a fight with Desi Arnaz in her old dressing room/office.

The number one message he receives from spirits on the other side is to "please forgive me" for various things such as not being able to love. Van Praagh said he'd seen himself in previous incarnations as a general in various wars, responsible for many deaths, but in this lifetime he was trying to make up for that by helping and healing people. He also revealed a precognition he had of a future event: He saw himself in a room that was shaking, with ceiling panels falling down. The room was in Daly City, and there was an earthquake in the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area) on 8/7/08.

The Ancient Crystal Skulls

Egyptologist and pre-historian Stephen Mehler discussed ancient crystal skulls (photos), exploring their debated history, and mysterious functions and properties. He refuted a recent report that the skulls are "modern fakes," and said academic scientists lack an understanding of crystals. Two of the skulls (Max & Sha-Na-Ra) are definitively ancient, carved by hand instead of contemporary tools, he noted.

He shared the work of crystal skull researchers Nick Nocerino and Marcel Vogel. The late Nocerino, a prominent parapsychologist, was one of the first to bring attention to the skulls, and he believed there were 15-18 ancient skulls in existence. Vogel pointed out that the crystal skulls have missing silicon atoms in their bonding, and theorized it was these open spots that make them receptive to human communications (such as from breathing and sound) and allow them to store information.

The skulls can act like portals during these communications, giving people the sense they are going into the skull and seeing unknown dimensions, and they also have healing abilities, Mehler detailed. We know the ancient skulls came from Mexico and Central America, he said-- one of the skulls was found buried in the tomb of a Mayan shaman, but may have actually been created earlier by the Olmecs.

UK UFO Files

Former leader of the UK's UFO Project, Nick Pope joined host George Knapp (email) to discuss recent disclosures from the British Ministry of Defense. This sweeping release of UFO information by the UK government allows for researchers to "go to the raw data," he said, encouraging people to investigate the dedicated website put together by the British National Archives for the files.

Pope explained some of the reasons why the UK government decided to release the files. One such motivating factor was to quell the FOIA requests about UFO files that the Ministry of Defense had become inundated with over the last few years. Additionally, last year's release of UFO files in France set the precedent for the British to do the same, he said. Demonstrating the MOD's commitment to open government and attempts to avoid the speculation of a UFO cover-up were also elements that led to the disclosure.

He indicated that the first batch of documents to be released covers the years 1979 to 1984. Pope said that this first group consists of only 8 files which "sounds small, but when you get into it, some of the files contain over 450 pages of documentation." He surmised that, in total, this first wave of files contained over 2,000 pages of material. While Pope cautioned that most of the material consisted of mundane sighting reports, he also said that "there are some fascinating cases in there."

Looking ahead to the future, Pope indicated that this is the beginning of an ongoing process and that there are a total of 160 files to be released over the next four years. The reason behind this gradual release of the files is that the Ministry of Defense must redact some information for National Security purposes and to protect the privacy of people who reported witnessing UFOs. Despite these issues, he expects "a half a dozen or so files to be released each month."

Mysteries of Cosmology & Space

Theoretical physicist Dr. Richard Hammond discussed his new book The Unknown Universe, which explores mysterious aspects of cosmology and space. Cosmic acceleration, he explained, is the accepted concept that the universe is in a constant state of expansion, like a balloon being blown up. Galaxies, like pennies on the balloon, are moving further and further apart. Yet conversely, local perturbations dictate that some galaxies will collide with each other, such as the eventual merging of our own Milky Way with neighboring Andromeda.

Hammond speculated that puzzling 'dark energy' could be the force that is causing the universe to expand-- it's even possible that our universe could be contained in another universe, contributing to the expansion, he conceded. The observation of the hypothetical Higgs Particle (referred to by some as the God Particle) could be the greatest breakthrough in science, he said. It would help explain how particles have mass.

He also suggested that travel through wormholes, if they could be found or built, would be more a practical way to explore the universe, rather than trying to develop propulsion alternatives for spacecraft.

Enoch, Thoth & the Pyramid

Author and filmmaker Ken Klein presented his thesis that Egypt's Great Pyramid was built by Enoch, and serves as an oracle to help humankind transcend to their higher nature.

Klein contended that the Egyptian ruler known as Thoth, who wrote The Book of the Eternal Day (later called The Egyptian Book of the Dead), was actually Enoch, a real human, who was later deified. Further, the Greek god Hermes was also Enoch, he stated.

Enoch never died; he was taken to the Arcturus star system, and helped populate a "godly race," said Klein, adding that the Great Pyramid was built to memorialize the fact that Enoch escaped death. Enoch will return in a ship, and the current proliferation of UFOs, is preparing us for the call to leave, he continued. According to the prophets, it is our destiny to go into space, he noted.

UFOs: Cases & Confrontations

In a UFO Special, researcher & filmmaker James Fox and author Richard Dolan appeared separately and together to discuss disclosure, notable UFO cases and confrontations. Appearing during the second hour, Fox was joined by Stephenville, Texas UFO witness Ricky Sorrells, a metalworker who encountered a huge craft at close range. The object had a dull gray finish with inverted cone shapes coming out of its undersides, Sorrells recalled. It was large enough that a plane could have landed it, he previously told Fox.

For his upcoming film, tentatively titled Beyond the Blue, Fox interviewed airline pilot Ray Bowyer who witnessed a huge craft over the Channel Islands during a flight in 2007. The film will also include FAA tapes from the 2006 O'Hare Airport incident. He noted two photos of this UFO are said to exist, but he hasn't been able to access them.

Dolan joined Fox during the third hour, and spoke about confrontational episodes in which the military displays an adversarial relationship to UFOs, such as scrambling jets after them. Accordingly, disclosure might reveal "trouble in paradise," i.e. the ETs are not our "space brothers," Dolan said. At least one species is creating a hybrid race to meld into our society in order to do their work for them, such as facilitating abductions, he added. Fox shared an account of viewing a video (not made public) shot near Rachel, NV that showed an illuminated disc-shaped craft hovering over a car. He called it the "most impressive footage I've ever seen." During the last hour, Dolan fielded calls from listeners.

Drones, Spheres & the Mars Lander

Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe presented reports on \'dragonfly\' drone sightings, a pearl-colored sphere retrieved in Alabama, the Mars Phoenix Lander, and a new cattle mutilation case. The new Mars mission isn\'t intended to determine if microbes exist in the soil, Prof. Peter Smith noted. Regarding the anomaly of the \'white spike\' (see article below), Barry Goldstein, Phoenix\'s Project Manager said they want to study a higher resolution image of what is there, before commenting. For more on the Phoenix mission, see Linda\'s full report.

A new witness of the strange aerial drones first reported in 2007 contacted Linda. Brent Yearout, of Camas, Washington described seeing a craft with appendages that had an inner ring about 8-12 ft. across. It emitted a static sound and moved in an erratic matter, stopping and hovering, he said.

Linda also shared an account of a witness in Decatur, Alabama who saw a 3-foot-wide sphere retrieved by ambulance workers on the night of April 25, 2008. The witness, Codey Terry, first saw an bluish-white aerial object come down from the sky, and later caught up with the ambulance. Linda speculated that the retrieved object, which Terry described as looking like a giant pearl, could be a type of monitoring device. She also detailed a case involving bloodless excisions on a dead pregnant cow found on May 1, 2008, in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Weird Stories

During Open Lines, George offered a 'Weird Stories' hotline. He also asked for a few native Hawaiians to phone into the show and speak in the Pidgin language. A caller near Dallas, Texas recounted a strange experience she had while working as a nurse. The caller said one of her dying patients told her she could see a man dressed in white and her deceased sister standing outside the window. According to the caller, the patient was told by her sister that it was okay for her to go. She passed away an hour later, the caller said.

Jim in Colorado Springs recalled when his grandmother was on her deathbed. He said the woman in the room next to his grandmother's came in one night, put her hand on his grandmother's head and said "Lord, take this child home. She's suffered long enough." After his grandmother's funeral, Jim said he returned to the facility to thank the woman for helping his grandmother cross to the other side. The hospital staff told Jim that no one had been in the room next to his grandmother. Jim believes the woman may have been a guardian angel.

A caller from Newport Beach, California shared a bizarre story that happened to him in a little village on outskirts of Mexico City in 1990. The caller said he went to see a church where an apparition of Mary had been photographed and while there three children -- Lourdes, Raphael and Miguel -- talked with him. He later found out that the church had been burned down in 1949 and three children with the same names had perished in the fire. The caller claims to have a photo taken at the church that shows the silhouettes of three people.

Irrational Thinking

Lecturer Ori Brafman and his brother, psychologist Dr. Rom Brafman discussed their new book Sway, which looks at why people make irrational choices. "The way that we defined it," Rom said about irrational thinking, "is that it's about doing something that you know was the wrong decision afterwards."

One of the key motivators behind irrational thinking is the concept of "loss aversion." Ori explained, "we feel the pain of a loss so strongly, that we go to really extreme means to avoid that loss." He described this effect in the story of Jacob van Zanten, an airline captain who was concerned about a delay effecting his reputation for punctual flights. His haste to get the plane flying again ended up causing the largest airline disaster in history. According to Rom, this shift to irrational thinking is not automatic, rather a gradual change as fear of loss mounts, "a lot of times, people are just not aware of where they're going."

Additionally, perception is another factor that can cause irrational thought. "Once you attribute a value to something, either good or bad, that diagnosis sticks," said Ori. This was conveyed in the story of two anthropologists searching for the proverbial "missing link." The first researcher, a relative unknown in the scientific world, discovered a prehistoric hominid species, but was dismissed by his peers. The second scientist, who was part of the established community, fashioned a hoax and claimed that he'd found the elusive connection between man and ape. Since he was well known and respected by his peers, no one bothered to check the validity of his purported findings.

Shamanism & Earth Changes

Futurist John Jay Harper shared his investigation into native shamanism as it correlates with the near-death experience (NDE), earth changes, and a global shift in consciousness. The shamanic tradition dates back thousands of years. Shamans, often engaged in healing work, travel to other realms and then translate back symbols of what they've seen, he explained.

The shamanic experience shares similarities to NDEs, with an "initiate" traveling to the other side. Near death experiencer, George Ritchie, described realms of a higher vibrational rate that co-exist just above our world, and contain laboratories and schools. One of the common themes Harper uncovered in his NDE research was of earth transformations to come. During a 20-year period (begun in 1992) a major solar event will trigger a pole shift and the melting of the ice caps, he detailed.

Harper, through his own visions, sees regional disruptions due to earthquakes on both the East and West coasts, as well as the Midwest. An event on the West Coast could be centered around a fault line near Eureka, CA, he added. Harper also expressed concern over people living on the coastlines, and warned of tsunami dangers.

Spirituality & Science

Appearing during the middle two hours, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Dr. George Vaillant discussed his work on the scientific effects of positive emotions, as well as his new book Spiritual Evolution. Humankind's sense of spirituality is genetically wired in and has evolved over time for its survival value, he detailed. There is more empathy in our genes than what we learn in Sunday school training, he commented.

It has only been in the last 15 years that science has been able to measure specific emotions in the brain, showing how different parts of the brain light up, such as in the limbic system. For instance, he noted that when subjects were given money to donate to their favorite charity, the same part of their brains always lit up.

The Border Crisis

Author Jerome Corsi and filmmaker Chris Burgard discussed the making of Border, an investigative documentary on the turbulent state of America's southern border with Mexico. Burgard's film shows all sides of the border dilemma and included interviews with Border Patrol agents, illegal immigrants, Minutemen, and local ranchers.

He described a dire situation in which the Mexican drug cartel controls illegal immigrants. Immigrants are sometimes stuck in the desert without food and water, and the cartel extorts money from them with threats of harming their families back in Mexico. Corsi concurred, commenting that criminal elements, such as the MS-13 gang, control access to the border. Additionally, illegal immigrants can end up serving as drug mules to get into the US, and women are often raped by the guides (known as 'Coyotes') hired to take them across the border, Burgard detailed.

The case of Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who are serving prison time for shooting at fleeing drug smugglers on the Texas/Mexico border, was also discussed. For related material, see video of the Ramos and Compean Benefit, and the blog agentramos.com.

A special evening featured four separate guests covering such topics as spy chips, ghosts, food & energy, and ancient Lemuria.

In the first hour, privacy advocate Katherine Albrecht reported on how cell phones can be used to track people's locations without their consent. A cell phone sends out a location beacon every 15 minutes, but this can be subverted by turning your cell phone off, she said. Bluetooth headsets have even less location privacy she noted.

Appearing in the second hour, ghostbuster Mary Ann Winkowski described her work communicating with the deceased at their funerals. She noted that spirits often linger at the photo collages increasingly used at funerals in order to hear what people say about particular images. Of late, people seem to be dying at younger ages as though they're in a hurry to move on, she commented.

Author Howard Bloom joined the show in the third hour to offer analysis on the oil and food crisis. Blaming food riots in various countries on the increased production of ethanol is a "snow job," he declared. OPEC bought up a huge share of commodity futures and this is what drove up the price of food, he explained.

In the last hour, researcher Glenn Kimball spoke about the ancient civilization known as Mu or Lemuria. The culture of Mu spanned the entire globe and dated back tens of thousands of years, he contended. On places such as Easter Island, they had special towers that were designed to mechanically prevent tsunamis, and temples

Bobby Kennedy's Assassination

During the middle two hours, Irish writer and filmmaker Shane O'Sullivan discussed his investigation into the many unsolved questions in the assassination of Robert Kennedy, which occurred 40 years ago on June 6, 1968. In the beginning everyone assumed Sirhan Sirhan did it and it was an open and shut case, but later evidence to the contrary began to emerge, he detailed. Sirhan had scrawled "R** Must Die" repeatedly in notebooks which the prosecution said showed premeditation. But O'Sullivan suggested this was evidence that Sirhan had been under mind control.

The CIA had been conducting covert mind control experiments with the goal of creating a 'Manchurian Candidate'-like assassin, who wouldn't be able to remember being programmed, said O'Sullivan, who added that Sirhan was likely recruited into such an experiment.

The autopsy evidence shows that Sirhan was in the wrong position to have fired the fatal bullet, indicating that another shooter was present, possibly the security guard, whose gun was never even confiscated, O'Sullivan noted. Further, recent audio analysis shows that 13 shots were fired in 5.5 seconds-- Sirhan's gun could only hold eight bullets, he reported. Additionally, a girl in a polka dot dress was witnessed leaving the hotel with a man, shouting, 'we shot him? we killed Kennedy.'

In the first half of the show American author, professor of journalism, and columnist, Frank Borzellieri discussed "Dark Shadows", "Time Travel", & "ESP".

Frank, a long-time fan of the television series, "Dark Shawdows", wrote the book ?The Physics of Dark Shadows?. Frank Borzellieri reveals for the first time, that so many of the bizarre, supposedly supernatural occurrences on "Dark Shadows" actually have their bases in scientific reality. Frank points out in fascinating detail how time travel in no way defies the laws of physics and is irrefutably proven through Einstein?s theories. Frank explains that in fact, not only can time travel actually happen, it already has happened! All of these concepts, including traveling to the past and future, as well as parallel time, have a scientific foundation and are studied vigorously in the world?s leading institutions and scientific journals. He goes on to explain that While the time traveling methods of "Dark Shadows'" Professor Stokes, Barnabas Collins, and Julia Hoffman may differ from Einstein?s wormholes and light speed, the basic notions are very real.

Frank will be appearing at the upcoming Dark Shadows Festival, the official Dark Shadows Convention held annually since 1983, in Los Angeles. It features appearances by cast and crew of the gothic soap opera "Dark Shadows". And will feature answer sessions and autograph sessions with Frank, a banquet with the stars, a memorabilia room of Dark Shadows merchandise for sale, and performances by the stars of the "Dark Shadows" television series.

Crystal Skulls, UFO's & Mysterious Lake Creatures

Expert in anomalous phenomena, Paul Stonehill discussed his latest research into the Nazi hunt for crystal skulls in South America, including his knowledge of UFO research by the Soviets during the Cold War and the mysterious giants that inhabit Eurasian lakes.

Mr. Stonehill expressed his displeasure with the inaccuracy of the most recent Indiana Jones film, saying that the Soviets were never interested in the crystal skulls, only Hitler and the Nazi's who led exhibitions in 1943 to find them. And that Hitler's reason for wanting the skulls was to use them as was to control people.

On the topic if the skulls had any genuine power if they were to be all gathered, Mr. Stonehill simply did not have enough info to give an answer.

In the first hour, Carol Simontacchi discussed how the food industry is destroying our brains and harming our children.

Meet Jesus Christ

Ian Punnett was joined by a guest claiming to be Jesus Christ, who discussed his life and teachings. Regarding the various interpretations of his time on Earth, Christ said, "there is specificity to who I am, the things I did, the things I said, and a purpose for which I came. And I don't like when people try to mutate that."

Explaining why he is portrayed differently in each of the four Biblical gospels, Christ attributed it to the fact that each book had a different author with their own perception of the events that took place. These different perspectives notwithstanding, Christ said that "they're all right in conjunction with one another. And that's the beauty of the harmony of scripture." He lamented that some people do not read the Bible with that harmony in mind and, instead, "just take what they want and leave what they don't want."

Christ also discussed why much of his teachings were contained in parables, instead of in clearer directions. He said that the reasoning behind this methodology is that "the digging for the treasure is as important as the finding of the treasure and that gets lost a lot." He stressed that while the messages in the parables never change, "the context of the parables are best seated 2,000 years ago." Christ also showed concern that "preachers will get lost in the specificity of the parable and not the spirit of the parable."

In the second half of the interview, Christ answered questions from callers. One topic covered was the significance of 2012 and the apocalypse. He downplayed any potential event, saying that "eschatology is the study of the last things. Study it last. ... People almost rush past the entirety of scripture to get to the end and they don't understand the core of scripture." He, instead, encouraged people to live in "a state of constantly seeking God's will" so that they are prepared for the End Times, whenever they may come.

ET Interference

During the middle two hours, visionary and conduit for divine messages, Marshall Vian Summers discussed how ET forces are influencing world events and capitalizing on human frailty in order to gain control of Earth. He first received "briefings" from angelic sources known as the "Allies of Humanity" back in 1997, with a second set of material arriving in 2005.

The Allies have been observing interfering ET presences on Earth, and seek to make humanity aware of their activity, Summers said. These ETs of several races are here in search of resources, and have been influencing people in power, as well as creating hybrid beings, since they can't breathe our atmosphere, he detailed.

Earth is considered by these ET groups to be a "biological storehouse," but the Allies warn of accepting ET technology-- we shouldn't give "the keys to our kingdom" for "trinkets from space," Summers commented. Knowledge or a "deeper intelligence within us" can keep people free from the ET intrusion, he added.

Accidents, Risk, & Prevention

Writer Marc Gerstein was joined by co-author Michael Ellsberg and his father Daniel Ellsberg to discuss their book on major accidents and catastrophes, and how they often could be prevented. For example, the death of students from the recent China quake might have been averted if their schools weren't so badly constructed, and there was a stronger motivation to protect children, said Gerstein.

In the case of the Challenger disaster, NASA's top brass didn't listen to the warnings of engineers about the safety of O-rings. Additionally, the timing of the launch was kept even though the weather was too cold because Pres. Reagan wanted to have a link up with Christa McAuliffe during his State of the Union speech, Daniel Ellsberg detailed. Leaders, across political systems, often gamble with risks, and other people's lives, when the alternative is a possible loss to their status, he added.

Michael Ellsberg talked about "bystander behavior" in which psychological factors such as peer pressure, and wanting to fit in, deter people from speaking out and becoming whistle blowers. Daniel Ellsberg, who leaked the Pentagon Papers in 1971 that revealed faulty decision-making in the Viet Nam War, argued that the act of whistle blowing can be of vital importance, even if it comes at personal costs to oneself. During the last hour, Gerstein fielded calls from listeners.

Pyramid Research & Theories

Dr. John DeSalvo, Director of the Great Pyramid of Giza Research Assoc., discussed the latest findings in pyramid research including the Russian pyramids. The Russians built around 17 fiberglass pyramids and conducted experiments inside them. They found an increase in immunological response, and better growth from seeds, he reported. An earlier experiment conducted in Czechoslovakia was said to demonstrate that razor blades actually sharpen under a pyramid (see this 1973 Time article on 'pyramid power').

Levitation may be the best explanation as to how the Great Pyramid at Giza was built, said DeSalvo. He noted that Bell Labs produced levitation effects in experiments in the 1980s, and that Arab legends about levitation date back to antiquity. As a historical side note, Napoleon reportedly visited the King's Chamber inside the Great Pyramid and came out visibly shaken, never wishing to speak of it again, he recounted.

DeSalvo also detailed some of the work of researcher Joe Parr, who found that energy fields like a bubble can be measured around pyramids. Interestingly, Parr correlated the timing of the Great Pyramid's energy field with the 'Great Annihilator'-- a Gamma Ray emitter in the center of our galaxy. Could the Great Pyramid be a device to prevent extinction on Earth through its bubble?, DeSalvo pondered.

The William Shatner Interview

During the first two hours, actor William Shatner shared stories from his remarkable career including his roles in Twilight Zone, Star Trek, and Boston Legal. He got his start doing radio plays in his native Canada, before moving on to acting for the stage in New York.

Later, as he was in a failing TV series opposite Bonanza, he got a call from Gene Roddenberry to take a look at a pilot for Star Trek. The series in which he played Capt. James Kirk, ran for three years on NBC, but it was not a huge ratings success-- it was only in subsequent years during syndication that the show took off, he recounted. Leonard Nimoy, who played Mr. Spock, has remained a close friend throughout his life, helping him get through the loss of his wife Nerine, said Shatner. He recalled the classic Trouble with Tribbles episode: "I certainly remember being buried in these little furry balls," as the stage crew through the balls at him, while silently laughing.

His serio-comic style as the Priceline pitchman may have inspired David Kelley to create the character of Denny Crane for him in The Practice/Boston Legal, said Shatner. He also discussed his singing endeavors-- using his classical training, he acts out the song.

The last hour featured Open Lines, and a replay of a 2005 Dr. Morgus appearance.

'Friday the 13th' Open Lines

During Open Lines, George offered a special 'Friday the 13th' line. A caller from Beaumont, TX who was born on Friday the 13th said as a child he became convinced he was doomed because of society's negative view of '13.' He thought his fate was certain when the Apollo 13 spacecraft was crippled by an explosion in 1970, but after the crew made it, he changed his outlook on the number.

One caller recalled a hunting trip in Idaho where he and his companions encountered three Bigfoot creatures. According to the caller, the large, hairy, bad-smelling creatures put campfire rocks in front of the tent doors and took away the deer they had killed. Several callers phoned in with their memories of The Twilight Zone.

In the last half-hour, George spoke with Richard C. Hoagland about the space shuttle, then played a 13-minute audio excerpt from Hoagland's recent speech before the Libertarian Party National Nominating Convention.

torrents are pretty safe. just read the comments. 100 times safer than limewire + u get what ur lookin for. I've downloaded about 300gig (all legal stuff of course) using torrents and i've never got the wrong thing or anything malitious.
